Many firsts...

5 years ago I would have laughed hard if someone told me I would start my own label. Who does that anyway? It is hard work, there is no money in it, and your social life will be non-excisting. While this is all true I still took the step. Not knowing exactly what I have got myself into this time, I will figure it out as I go.

I found out it is a whole different bal game to start on your own. I am not only a designer anymore. I am boss, manager, financial advisor, graphic designer, producer, and fashion designer. While I reached out to companies to order materials I also need to document every step of the way for the tax authorities. I work on custom made items and I develop a new personal collection. I search for new studio space and I work on my online appearance. It is a lot. It is scary and exciting at the same time.

My first order of yarns arrived this week and a second order is on it's way. I started the first samples for the next collection and finished the first custom sweater. I launched my first website and blog. I almost finished my (official) first month on my own. I feel like the start is here. I hope you will keep an eye out for more from me.
